FORGED IN SPACE

Designed and developed by David Rutten, it was born out of his passion for watchmaking design and astronomy. Where art meets science.
The Streamline is a mechanical watch carved in a block of meteorite metal. It will be produced in a limited production run of 88 numbered copies.

EXTRATERRESTRIAL METAL

MUO NIO NALUSTA : it is a meteorite originating from the core of an asteroid orbiting between Mars and Jupiter. It is thought to be 4.5 billion years old, according to scientific studies. Dated from the birth of our Solar System, it is the oldest iron meteorite known to man.
The geometric pattern in its mass is a fascinating feature. This octahedron lattice was generated by million years of wandering in space.

The scarcity of this meteorite turns the Streamline into a unique watch, and each piece is a one-off. Each case is cut within a block of meteorite before machining, in order to determine the direction of the lattice.

RETRO-FUTURISTIC DESIGN

Inspired by the Art-deco style, the Streamline is the reflection of another space-time but remains deeply rooted in its period.
David Rutten has restyled aperture watches with jumping-hours from the 30’s. This layout puts the emphasis on the metal of the case, which aim is to magnify the pattern of the meteorite.
